Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane - Volunteer Register

Welcome to the Volunteer Register

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Archdiocese of Brisbane is witnessing the fastest growth amongst all the Catholic dioceses in Australia. Like the people that comprise its body, it also enjoys a large and diverse geography, with boundaries that stretch from Hervey Bay in the north, west to Eidsvold and south through Gatton to the border.

To administer such a large territory requires much able assistance, both from the clergy and lay persons. The Archbishop's eyes are not averse to the fact, indeed his heart is immeasurably lifted, that so many good people have shown their willingness to participate in the life of the Church. It certainly makes his goal of promoting the reign of God and the signs of the kingdom in South East Queensland that much easier, and to do so guided by a firm understanding of the concepts of Jesus, Communion, Mission.

This Volunteer Register has been created to enable men and women of all different ages, backgrounds and levels of skill to register their interest in helping with the evangelizing mission of the Church. It is intended as a conduit to those who feel they would like to contribute in both large and small ways, and as such will become an important resource for the Archdiocese.

I commend it to your use, and would encourage people to take the opportunity it offers to play a more active part in the Church.
